Student : 3 New Girlfriends Mam!

• Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House in Washington D.C. One from Bangladesh , another from India and the third, from China. 

They go with a White House officer to examine the fence. 

The Bangladesh contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well", he says, "I figure the job will run about $900. ($400 for materials, $400 for my team and $100 profit for me)". 

The Chinese contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700. ($300 for materials, $300 for my team and $100 profit for me)". 

The Indian contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700." 

The official, outraged says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?" 

The Indian contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from China to fix the fence." 

"Done!" replies the government official.

• Surabhi caught her husband Ramesh searching high and low all around his living room.

Surabhi : "What are you searching for?"

Ramesh : "Hidden cameras!"

Surabhi : "And what makes you think that there are hidden cameras here?"

Asset Ratios:

1) Quick Ratio = [Cash + Marketable Securities]/Current Liabilities

2) Current Ratio = Current Assets/Current Liabilities

Financing and Debt Ratios: 

1) Liabilities covered by Working Capital = Working Capital provided from Operations/Total Liabilities

2) Term Financing = Fixed Assets/Short-term Debt

3) Proportionate Term of Debt = Short-term Debt/Long-term Debt

Aging Accounts Receivable:

Weighted Average Age of Accounts Receivable = Sum of (Weighted Average % of each aging bucket * number of Days in each aging bucket)

Accounts Receivable Turnover Rate:

A/R Turnover = Annual Sales/Average A/R balance

Accounts Payable Turnover Rate:

A/P Turnover = Annual Expenses/Average A/P balance

Aging Accounts Payable:

Weighted Average Age of Accounts Payable = Sum of (Weighted Average % of each aging bucket * number of Days in each aging bucket)

How to Crop an Image in Paint

I have often used Microsoft Picture Manager for most of my Image related needs. But, I found myself handicapped when for some reason my Microsoft Office Package disappeared after the Operating System 'Windows 7' got reinstalled to correct some Issues.

Though I know that 'Paint' is a feature in Windows which is commonly used by many but I am really a novice since I know very little of that. 

So, due urgent need when I had no other option left, I tried to learn about Paint on 'How to crop a Picture'. Here, what I got and I wanted to share with you in case anybody wants to Learn.

a) First, Right Click and Open the Image with 'Paint'. If you are taking some Screenshot, then Copy and Paste the Screenshot in 'Paint'.

b) Now, Click on 'Select' Tool and Select the Part of the Picture you want to keep. 

When you Select the Part, you will see the 'Crop' Tool above getting highlighted.

c) Click on 'Crop' and voila.... your desired part of the picture is left and everything else gets deleted. 

You can now save this by clicking on 'Save as' which comes when you click the top left dropdown arrow. 

d) Give your picture a name and you are sorted.

How to shorten Facebook Page URL

Whenever we create a Facebook page, whether for Business purposes or Personal, we face this problem of long numbered URLs which not only look unpleasant but are also inconvenient if we want to share them with others.

I will tell you a simple way to shorten your Facebook Page URL in 3-4 easy Steps. 

However, the conditions for this are:

a) You need to be the Administrator of the Page.

b) The Page must have 25 or more Likes.

If these two conditions are fulfilled, then follow these steps:

a) Visit https://www.facebook.com/username/ 

B) Go to the Headline 'Create your Facebook Web Address' and Click on 'Pages'. It will show you the Pages you have created as an Administrator. You can select the Page you want to shorten the URL of.

C) You will get another Box asking for your preferred Username. Type the Username you want and Click 'Check Availability'.

D) Your preferred Username must be available for you to set it. If it isn't you need to change it. If it is available, then this will be your new shortened Facebook Page URL.

Infolinks Review

I have an account with Infolinks, which is an online advertising agency. I had heard that it is a very professional company but got a proof of it few days back.

I have optimized my blog with four kinds of ads from Infolinks; 'intext', 'insearch', 'intag' and 'inframe'. While 'intext' and 'intag' were working fine for me, however I was not able to see 'insearch' and 'inframe' ads. I tried reoptimizing but nothing changed.

I thought of sending a mail to the support team, with not much hopes of getting a reply. 

But I was astonished to find a full fledged reply from them just after a day (even though their normal reply time is 2 days). Their executive Ms. Dana was kind enough to explain in detail the situation and the solutions.

Some excerpts from it, if anybody is facing similar problem:

'Kindly note that since InSearch is oriented for visitors who come from search engines you won't be able to see it directly on your website pages. However, please be assured that once you enable InSearch, all visitors from search engines will be able to see it.

With regards to InFrame, it can only appear if your display resolution leaves enough room for the ads to appear. This product may also be blocked in cases when there are other web elements stretching over the entire width of your website's pages.

I believe your website's header or footer are stretching across your site's pages, which is probably why you are unable to see InFrame ads. Please try to resolve this issue by removing these elements or contact your webmaster for further assistance.'

I would suggest all bloggers to integrate Infolinks on their site, if they wish to monetize their blogs. You can visit the website at www.infolinks.com and can Login. 

Though I still have to get a good amount of traffic to get Infolinks Payment, but I am sure with a professional company like Infolinks, that day is not far.

Jyoti Shingala

There are very few people in this World whom you meet and find a connect instantly. Jyoti Shingala has been one such person for me.

I met Jyoti in my first Organisation 'Air Deccan' in 2007. She was a part of Revenue Management Department and I was a new Joinee there. When I got introduced to her, I instantly got an impression of someone Sweet, Kind and Diligent. 

Born on December 1, 1981, she has done her Education, mostly from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Her Schooling has been in St Rapheals H S School and College from D.A.V.V. She has done M.Com in Taxation and B.Com in Commerce.

Jyoti started her Career in Indore. However, her Career took Wings after Marriage to Mr. Jay Shingala, when she came to Bangalore. Her Ambition and Commitment to do well in Life becomes evident from the Fact that she was able to get a Job in a Travel Agency 'Raj Travels' within 15 Days of coming to Bangalore, which was a totally new City to her.

Thereafter, Jyoti joined the first Low Cost Airline in India, Air Deccan, as Customer Relation Assistant in 2006 and worked there for close to 8 months. She then joined Revenue Management Department in 2007 and worked till 2011. She had to leave the Company as the Department was getting transferred to Mumbai (due takeover of Air Deccan by Kingfisher Airlines) and she did not want to leave her Family behind.

Jyoti is currently enjoying with her Family and taking care of her 4 year old Son. She wants to join back again once her Son grows a little.

Apart from Work, Jyoti is a passionate Reader too. In fact, this was one Good Habit I took from her. There is no known Book which she has not read. You name it and she has read it. She is also a Movie Buff and enjoys watching old and new Films. 

She is a very soft spoken Girl and can never hurt anybody. This Quality of her makes her gel with everybody very well. She is very flexible and can get along with anybody.

In the end I just want to say that Jyoti is an extremely Talented and Ambitious Girl. However, she knows where, when & what to give priority to. I have met her Family and I can rightly say that not only is she a Good Friend but also a Good Mother, Daughter-in-Law and a Good Daughter too.

How to generate Sitemap for Blogspot

It is quite easy to Generate a Sitemap for Blogspot. A Sitemap helps your Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. to easily Crawl and Index your Website to make it more visible.

You can Generate a Sitemap using the following Link:

Once you Paste the full URL of your Blog, and Click 'Generate Sitemap', the Sitemap gets generated. It looks like:

Now, Login to your Blogspot Account and go to your Blog. Now, go to :

Settings -> Search Preferences -> Crawlers and indexing -> Custom robots.txt

Click on Edit and 'yes'. You will get a Box. Now, Copy the Sitemap generated earlier and Paste in this Box. Click on Save Changes and it is done. 

Now, you can Paste this Sitemap on various Search Engine Webmaster Tools for them to easily Crawl and Index your Blog.
